  • 29 C.F.R Part 1604 From the GPO. Guidelines on discrimination based on gender, including employment policies relating to pregnancy and childbirth.
  • Equal Pay Act of 1963 - 29 U.S.C. section 206(d) Requires that employers pay all employees equally for equal work, regardless of whether the employees are male or female.
  • Family and Medical Leave Act From FindLaw. Gives employees the right to take time off from work in order to care for a newborn (or recently adopted) child, or to look after an ill family member.
  • Pregnancy Discrimination Act From the EEOC. An amendment to Title VII setting forth that discrimination on the basis of pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions constitutes unlawful sex discrimination under Title VII, which covers employers with 15 or more employees, including state and local governments.
